What is Glasses2Classes™?+

An innovative program created by Optical Academy® that brings onsite mobile vision screenings, comprehensive eye exams, and prescription eyewear directly to students at their school — addressing the fact that 1 in 4 students cannot see what's being taught in their classroom.

Where do you set up inside the school?+

Our Vision Team brings a complete optical setup right into your school's gym, auditorium, cafeteria, or any designated area — students and staff never have to leave the building.

How many frames can students choose from?+

Students can choose from over 500+ frame styles from our vast onsite selection. All eyewear is pre-fit on students while onsite.

Do students get their glasses the same day?+

Yes — our Mobile Vision Lab parks outside the school and produces eyewear with polycarbonate impact-resistant lenses (RX up to ±6 sphere, ±3 cylinder). Prescriptions exceeding that range are shipped to the school within 2 weeks.

Do you accept insurance?+

Yes. We bill most major vision plans (including Medicaid, CHIP, and many commercial plans) directly. Students without coverage are still served — no child is turned away because of insurance status.

How long does an event take?+

Most schools are served in a single day. Larger districts may run multi-day events. Our scheduling team will design a plan based on your enrollment.
